Who We Are

SwimLog is an app under development by Carp Fishing Lab, a content and community brand for carp anglers. This landing page is operated by Carp Fishing Lab.

What Data We Collect

Email address (waitlist)

If you join the SwimLog waitlist, we collect your email address via a MailerLite embedded form. We use this solely to notify you when the app launches and to send occasional development updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Survey responses

If you complete the optional survey on the page, your responses are collected by Tally.so on our behalf. We use these responses to inform app features. Responses are not linked to your email address unless you choose to provide it in the survey.

Technical data (server logs)

Like all websites, our server may automatically log your IP address and browser user-agent when you visit. These logs are retained for a short period for security purposes and are not used for profiling or advertising.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your data under the following legal bases:

• Legitimate interests — for basic security logging (server logs).
• Contractual necessity — not applicable on this landing page.

We use browser localStorage (not a cookie) to remember your cookie consent preference. This is strictly necessary to avoid asking you every visit and does not require your consent to set.

Third-party services embedded on this page (YouTube, MailerLite, Tally) may set their own cookies. YouTube cookies are only loaded after you accept via our cookie banner. MailerLite and Tally cookies may be set when you interact with their embedded forms.

Data Retention

• Waitlist emails: retained until the app launches or you unsubscribe, whichever comes first.
• Survey responses: retained indefinitely in aggregated, non-identifiable form once the app ships.
• Server logs: typically retained for 30–90 days.

Children's Privacy

This landing page is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted their details, contact us and we will delete the data promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the page after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
